Enjoy a special journey to discover the most beautiful cities and landmarks in Mexico, starting from the capital Mexico City with tours of historical and cultural sites, passing through coastal cities and stunning beaches, and concluding with an experience of local culture and traditional cuisine.
The program includes sightseeing tours, comfortable transfers, and hotel accommodations with breakfast, offering an experience that combines history, nature, and authentic Mexican culture.
01: Mexico (Sunday)
Welcome to Mexico! You will be transferred to your hotel and will have free time.
Our tour guide will contact you late in the afternoon.
02: Mexico (Monday)
Today is a wonderful day for exploring Mexico. In the morning, we'll head to the Xochimilco neighborhood, a charming place famous for its canals and semi-floating gardens. There, we'll enjoy a trip on a tragéniera, one of the colorful boats decorated with flowers.
Next, we'll take a panoramic tour of the city. We'll see the Plaza de las Triangles (Plaza of the Three Cultures), the historic center which includes the Zócalo and its grand cathedral, the main Aztec temple, Chapultepec Park, Paseo de la Reforma, and the main streets of this magnificent city.
We will have free time for lunch in Mexico City's Zócalo. After lunch, we will visit the Cathedral of Guadalupe, the most visited Catholic shrine in the Americas, home to the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There, we will see both the old 18th-century church and the modern sanctuary. In the evening, we will head to Garibaldi Square, famous for its many cafes, restaurants, and bars serving tacos and tequila, and where mariachi bands play. Dinner is included in the program at a traditional Mexican restaurant.
03: Mexico City - Two Stars Mine - Talles of Pujahua - Patzcuaro (Tuesday)
We'll begin our day by heading towards the mountainous and forested regions where monarch butterflies spend the winter. We'll visit the La Mina de las Dos Estrías mine, a former mine-turned-museum showcasing the region's rich mining history and culture. Next, we'll explore the hills of Alpujahua, a charming town in the state of Michoacán. This town is famous for its handcrafted Christmas decorations, magnificent Baroque temples, cobblestone streets, and captivating atmosphere. You'll be surprised to see Santa Claus figurines displayed in many of its shops. There will be free time to wander around and have lunch before we continue our journey to Patzcuaro, where we'll take a panoramic tour of one of Mexico's most beautiful colonial towns. With its pre-Hispanic origins, colonial architecture, artisan markets, and vibrant atmosphere, Patzcuaro is a truly unforgettable city.
04: Patzquaro - Morelia - Tlaquepaque - Guadalajara (Wednesday)
We'll travel to Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning pink stone architecture and beautiful historic center. Highlights include its cathedral, Plaza de Armas, and the University of Morelia, founded in 1540. There will be free time to explore and lunch along the way. We'll stop in Tlaquepaque, a charming town filled with mariachi music, live performances, artisan shops, and a variety of local cuisine.
Then we will continue our journey to Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco state, a vibrant colonial city known as the birthplace of mariachi music and tequila. We will arrive late in the afternoon.05: Guadalajara (Thursday)
In the morning, we'll visit Guadalajara, a vibrant, modern city with a historic colonial center, its cathedral, market, and Plaza de Tabatilla. We'll also visit the Cabañas Inn, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, we'll head to Tequila City, where we'll visit the Mundo Cuervo distillery to see how this famous Mexican spirit is made (entrance and tasting included). Afterwards, we'll have time to explore and enjoy lunch in picturesque Tequila City. After lunch, we'll return to Guadalajara.
06: Guadalajara – Guanajuato (Friday)
We travel to the state of Guanajuato, arriving at noon. In the afternoon, we tour this beautiful university city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exploring its towering cliffs, narrow streets, and churches. We also take the cable car for a panoramic view from the summit of El Bibela.07: Guanajuato - Dolores Hidalgo - San Miguel de Allende - Queretaro (Saturday)
Named "Shrine of God and Country," it is also a World Heritage Site (please note that at times we may not be able to visit the interior due to ongoing retreats). Next, we will explore San Miguel de Allende, a magnificent World Heritage Site city with beautiful colonial architecture and charming cobblestone streets. There will be time to wander around. Later, we will arrive in Querétaro, known for its stunning colonial center, Plaza de Armas, vibrant restaurants, and pedestrianized streets.08: Queretaro (Sunday)
We will spend a free morning in Querétaro, giving you the opportunity to explore this historic city rich in cultural and architectural heritage. Founded in 1531, Querétaro played a pivotal role in Mexico's independence and the Mexican Revolution. Its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is filled with picturesque plazas, Baroque churches, and colonial-era buildings. During these days, you will have the chance to wander through the charming city center with its cobblestone streets and vibrant plazas, surrounded by colonial architecture and colorful facades. You can also visit the aqueduct, gardens, and markets dating back to the 18th century.
In the afternoon, we offer a unique theatrical experience! Just 40 kilometers from Querétaro lies Hacienda Atongo, a historic 17th-century estate. Here, we'll take a guided tour with characters from another era, delving into the estate's rich history, from its main buildings to its vineyards. Theatrical performances by local actors will add to the experience. We'll also enjoy a refreshing drink made with wine produced on the estate. After the tour, we'll return to Querétaro.09: Queretaro (Monday)
Today we'll visit the charming town of San Sebastián de Bernal, a picturesque town known for its tranquil atmosphere at the foot of the world's third-largest monolith. Here you'll find skilled weavers. We'll also explore Tequesquiapan, famous for its mineral-rich spas and colonial-style buildings lining its cobblestone streets. This town is renowned for its handcrafted goods, especially the woven baskets sold in its artisan market. The trip includes a guided tour, allowing us to delve into the local history.
Our trip also includes a fantastic dining experience, with a visit to the San Patricio Winery and Bocanegra Cheese Cellar. You'll learn about cheesemaking and the unique challenges of high-altitude winemaking, accompanied by tastings of local wines.10: Queretaro - Mexico City (Tuesday)
Today, we continue our journey to Mexico City. The trip takes approximately three hours and will be on a regular bus. Upon arrival, our assistant will be waiting to escort you to your hotel.11: Mexico City (Wednesday)
