Enjoy an extended journey in Japan, starting from the capital Tokyo to explore its most prominent modern and traditional landmarks, then heading to Kyoto to discover its historic temples and gardens, and visiting Hiroshima to learn about its profound history before returning to Tokyo.
The program includes sightseeing tours, comfortable transfers between cities, and hotel accommodations with breakfast, offering a complete experience that combines culture, history, and the unique Japanese character.
01: Tokyo (Monday)
Welcome to Japan! After completing customs procedures, you will be transferred to your hotel by shared shuttle bus. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Details regarding the start time of your sightseeing tour will be sent to you in the afternoon.
02: Tokyo (Tuesday)
In the morning, we'll embark on a five-hour guided tour of this truly amazing city. You'll notice how its vibrant energy and modern, sophisticated neighborhoods coexist with tranquil, peaceful areas. We'll make a short stop at Zojoji Temple for stunning views of Tokyo Tower. You'll see hundreds of stone statues of the Jezu, goddesses believed to be protectors of children, adorned with knitted hats, aprons, and colorful carousels. Next, we'll head to the famous Shibuya Crossing, said to be the busiest intersection in the world. Then we'll visit Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife. We'll continue our tour by bus along the elegant Omotesando Street, exploring the most beautiful and charming parts of the Imperial Palace and its gardens, before stopping to visit the iconic Nijobashi Bridge. Finally, we'll drive through Akihabara, known as the "City of Electricity," the heart of Japanese manga and anime culture. Next, we'll head to Tokyo Skytree (entrance included), the tallest building in Japan, where we'll enjoy unparalleled panoramic views of the city. We'll conclude our visit in the Asakusa district, exploring Senso-ji Temple and the famous Nakamise Street. Afterward, we'll return to the hotel. At 6:30 PM, we'll meet our guide in the hotel lobby and then take the subway (tickets included) to Shinjuku. From there, we'll enjoy a walking tour of this vibrant neighborhood before heading to a local restaurant for dinner (included). Afterward, we'll return to the hotel by subway with our guide. Note: The order of visits may vary depending on Tokyo Skytree's opening times. In case of inclement weather or other exceptional circumstances, access to the tower may be limited, in which case an alternative visit to another iconic city viewpoint will be suggested.03: Tokyo – Kyoto (Wednesday)
We will travel to Kyoto by bullet train, departing early in the morning. In just over two hours, we will cover the approximately 500 kilometers between Tokyo and Kyoto. We will have a full day to explore Kyoto, the former capital of Japan from 794 to 1868 and the seat of the Imperial Court. Remarkably, Kyoto was the only major Japanese city to survive bombing during World War II, allowing it to preserve its rich artistic heritage. Kyoto is also known as the site where the Kyoto Protocol was signed in 1997, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our visit will include the city's most famous landmarks. We will admire the stunning Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Kinkaku-ji Temple, also known as the "Golden Pavilion," surrounded by beautiful gardens. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to wander through Gion, Kyoto's vibrant traditional district, famous for its geisha and lively atmosphere. This will be followed by free time to enjoy your own activities.
04: Kyoto-Nara-Osaka (Thursday)
We will travel to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple, a magnificent Buddhist temple built in 752 and home to a colossal Buddha statue. Here, you will also have the opportunity to take photos and interact with the friendly deer that roam freely in the surrounding grounds. Lunch is included in the program. Afterwards, we will visit Horiiji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes a seminary, monasteries, and temples. Its central tower is one of the oldest wooden structures in the world and is considered the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan, making it an important place of worship. We will then continue our journey to Osaka, arriving in the evening. We will stay overnight in this modern and vibrant city, known as the second largest metropolitan area in Japan. Later, we will visit the lively and colorful Dotonbori district, famous for its bustling nightlife.
05: Osaka - Himeji - Korakuen Park - Okayama (Friday)
We will depart for Himeji, where the program includes entry to the expansive complex showcasing the distinctive architecture of Japanese castles. After lunch at a local restaurant (included), we will continue our journey to Okayama to visit Korakuen Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Japan, featuring lakes, waterfalls, and traditional tea houses. Crossing a pedestrian bridge over the river, you will have the opportunity to visit Okayama Castle, a 16th-century Japanese fortress rebuilt in 1966 after being destroyed by bombing during World War II (entry into the castle is not included). Afterward, you will have free time to explore the city, a vibrant regional capital with a population of just over 700,000.
Note : On some days, we may stay in Fukuyama or Kurashiki. Kurashiki may be visited on the same day in the afternoon.
06: Okayama – Kurashiki – Itsukushima – Hiroshima (Saturday)
We will depart for Kurashiki, a city renowned for its meticulously preserved historic center. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a stroll through its charming streets, where the atmosphere of the past is palpable. Next, we will continue our journey to Hiroshima, the city whose history was profoundly marked by the atomic bomb in 1945. We will visit the Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the poignant Peace Memorial Museum, where the city's memory and story of resilience and hope are powerfully evoked. Seeking tranquility after these moving visits, we will take a ferry to the island known as the "place where humans and gods coexist." There, we will visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine, dedicated to the patron saint of the seas, which is partially built over the water. You will have the opportunity to explore the shrine, wander through the scenic town center, and enjoy lunch. Afterward, we will return to our hotel in Hiroshima, where dinner is included.
Note : The order of visits in Hiroshima may be modified without affecting the overall itinerary of the trip.
07: Hiroshima – Tokyo (Sunday)
After breakfast, we will arrange transfers to the train station for your bullet train to Tokyo. The journey takes approximately four hours to cover the 800 kilometers between the two cities, arriving in Tokyo around 2:00 PM. Our trip will conclude here, leaving you with wonderful and unforgettable memories. Please confirm your flight schedule in case you require an extra night.
